We made it to the border with Congo Brazzaville !

BORDERCROSSING CAMEROON - CONGO BRAZZAVILLE

We finally made it to the border! Ate two tins of Sardines a day. Were too tired to pinch up the tent last night. Just slept behind the wheel. Shattered, can you imagine. It was a big surprise how friendly the customs were. We gave them two mosquitonets; their first. They were incredible happy with it. Fantastic.

How does one reach those suffering in a massive rain-forest, where the roads turn into a mud quagmire as soon as it rains? This is a gigantic trek. Putting it into perspective, it represents the combined distance from the United Kingdom to Russia and back, with room to spare!

From ‘CONGO to KALAHARI’ is a Drive Against Malaria Foundation mission. Through sustainable support and community empowering the aim is to successfully break down the malaria cycle, both today and tomorrow. Up until now these remote families have been trapped in an environment riddled with malaria, however now thanks to the Drive Against Malaria Foundation they can look forward to a brighter and especially healthier future.
